There is a saying “age is just a number… except when it comes to marriage.” Many experts are declaring that marriages that take place at a young age have a higher tendency to fail. The National Center for Health Statistics states that approximately 60 percent of marriages in which the couple marries between the ages 20 and 25 will end in divorce. Jennifer Nagy, public relations professional, states that there is a valid reason as to why young marriages tend to fail. People tend to figure out who they are and what they want in life in their late twenties. People below the age of 25 usually have no clue or set plan in achieving a life goal. Thus, marrying at a young age and joining lives together with another person may make it more difficult to discover your own identity. Thus, Nagy advises that young couples in love should really wait until they are older than 25 to marry.
