What are the Duties of a Conservator? - When a person (a conservatee) becomes unable to care for themselves and/or their property and finances, a judge can decide to put another person or organization (a conservator) in charge of the conservatee's own care and/or property and finances. This arrangement is called a conservatorship.

The court will decide if you will be :

-The conservator of a person,
-The conservator of an estate, or
-Both.

If the court decides to make you a conservator of a person and/or a conservator of an estate, you are expected to take on certain responsibilities and must answer to the court. The court will have the right to scrutinize everything you do for the conservatee so it's best to get legal help by hiring a Top Family Law Attorney. It is very important to understand your rights and your responsibilities as a conservator.
