F.A.C.E.S. stands for Family Assessment, Counseling & Education Services. Founded in 1988, this organization, among other practices, provides parents with a safe place to take parenting classes which are accepted by judges in Orange County. Many times, the court will order a party to enroll in a parenting class by a certain time, for a particular period of time. However, many people are unfamiliar with this practice and do not know exactly where to go to obtain this knowledge.  F.A.C.E.S. offers parenting classes accepted by the Orange County courts. Whether you would like in-person interaction or choose to take an online class, F.A.C.E.S. offers both forms of parental education.  Classes generally take approximately 16 weeks for completion.

While the class topics vary, F.A.C.E.S. parenting classes assist parents going through a divorce or legal separation, single parents seeking to improve their parenting capabilities, parents involved in conflict or high anxiety situations, and parents with little family support. Most simply, if you are a parent, this organization can assist you in developing and polishing your parenting skills.

Another organization that offers parenting classes approved by the Orange County courts is The AJ Novick Group, Inc. This organization offers weekly parenting classes on Thursday nights at 7:00pm.  As a parent, you can begin the classes on any date and continue throughout the weeks you choose to pursue the program. The amount of time the classes last vary and you can take an 8, 10, 12, 22 or 52-week parenting or co-parenting class. The topics include managing stress as a parent, resolving conflicts and anger in the home, assisting with step-parents and step-children and avoiding mistakes in parenting.
