If you have a final order (Judgment) in your divorce, legal separation or domestic partnership case and things have changed, now what? If you are now able to spend more time with your children than was possible when the Judgment was made, you must file for a modification of your visitation if you would like to have more time with your children.
In order for a final judgment to be changed/modified you must show the court that there has been a change in circumstances that would now warrant the court granting you more time if it is in the best interst of the minor children.
What is a change in circumstance? Perhaps the child wants to spend more time with you, or your work schedule has changed or the other parent moved closed to your home and therefore it is now possible for you to spend more time with the children
