This posting will attempt to shed some light on Adoption in Orange County CA. Adoption is done to establish a legal parent-child relationship when the two parties are not of blood relation. Once the adoption is finalized, the relationship between the two will be that of a unfeigned parent/child pairing. This new relationship is lasting and the same as if the child were born to those parents.
Types of Adoptions
Stepparent/domestic partner adoption in Orange County:
-The spouse or domestic partner of the child’s parent adopts that child.
-The couple must be legally married or registered as domestic partners.
-It is the most common type of adoption.
This is the easiest sort of adoption since a birth parent remains one of the child's parents.
An independent, agency, or international adoption in Orange County:
-When the Department of Social Services is not involved or when no adoption bureau is a player in the adoption case, this is an independent adoption.
-Agency adoption is when the California Department of Social Services or a licensed adoption agency is part of the adoption case.
-International adoption is when the child to be adopted was born in another country.
In all these three types, the court ends the parental rights of the child’s two birth parents, and the adoptive parents become the children’s legal parents.
